Underwater Stars at Port Fairy by Elle Pervez - Inspired by our recent family holiday to Port Fairy - I couldn’t resist painting the hidden colourful world I imagined under the waves! It was five days of a magical summer holiday spent frolicking along the shoreline looking for shells, rock pool paddling and making sandcastles.
Imagining the secret colours beneath the aqua waves - you really can believe it's populated by glittering fairy folk - though a quick search will tell you Port Fairy was named after a small boat 'Fairy', and was originally called Belfast. I would rather imagine it was named Port Fairy because of its magical colours.
